According to a leak, the next official rally title with the WRC license will be released on July 28, 2023 and will be called WRC 23.
Codemasters and Electronic Arts secured the official license of the WRC rally series in 2020 and have been working behind closed doors on the next rally simulator ever since.
Well-known leaker billbil-kun posted a few on the game recently achievable successes published. He’s also now leaking even more details about the upcoming racing game.
According to the leaker, the title will be released for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC under the name “WRC 23”. WRC 23 is expected to be available in two versions: a standard edition and the champions edition. The Champions Edition will include the season pass for five seasons. The tweets also mention a WRC+ subscription.
“WRC+” is the official live stream service of the FIA World Rally Championship, which can be viewed with a monthly subscription. However, it is not clear whether the subscription gift is a bonus for pre-orderers or is only an add-on for Champions Edition buyers.
WRC 23 is also scheduled to be released on July 28, 2023. If the rumors are true, an official announcement should not be long in coming.
