It’s June 2000 and you’ve decided to try your luck following Diablo. Without realizing it, you put your social life aside, eating took a back seat, and your daily goal became to complete the game with the greatest difficulty and obtain new legendary items. That was the magic of this legendary episode and something Blizzard seeks to repeat in Diablo 2 Resurrected, ensuring the highest quality of production.
If you were also one of those who spent days and hours destroying enemies in castles back then and were careful enough to save your games somewhere safe, you will be happy to know that your old recorded character will work in this new remastered episode of Diablo 2.
Relive your character from over 21 years ago in Diablo 2 Resurrected
This particular characteristic was confirmed by Mathew Cerderquist in a interview with IGN Middle East where he stated the following:
When we were working on the remastering we wondered if the old saves could work, so we decided to test the theory and it did work! So, in fact, saved games can be recovered in this new version with the benefit of new graphics, sound effects, and more.
The playable experience of this remastering promises to be very faithful to the original with some improvements, especially regarding the elements and the frequency of appearance of certain items. Without a doubt, being able to recover a character with whom we spend so much time and with whom we surely love is something sensational, the question is, will it be possible to import a character from the PC to the consoles?
Only time will provide the answer when the game finally releases in 2021 on Xbox One, Xbox Series, PC, Nintendo Switch PS4, and PS5.
