Rust Console Edition is celebrating its one year anniversary and we would like to invite everyone to celebrate this very special occasion with us! Here’s a quick recap of how much our game has evolved in this first year of development.
Let me start by introducing you to our latest content update, Deadly Catch. This brand new update will be released this week on Xbox One and Xbox Series S|X.
That Deadly Catch The update will bring new features like fishing, a new type of watercraft, and brand new monuments called Fishing Villages.
Once this update is live, you’ll be able to explore both of the fishing villages (Big and Small) that dot the map and find special vending machines within them that will allow you to trade any fish you catch for scrap. You can then use the junk to buy blueprints for our new watercraft, the kayak, or visit the docks to trade it in for a shiny new boat. This update also introduces a brand new fishing minigame!
offshore blowout is the content update that brought the most requested monument to the game, the Oil Rigs. Besides the Oil Rigs, it also brought in the Heavy Scientists and the Multiple Grenade Launcher.
With it also came a new challenging activity suitable for everyone rust Player. It’s advisable that you take some teammates with you to tackle this issue, because the Oil Rig event is no walk in the park… Climb to the top of one of the Oil Rigs and hack the coded crate in the room. It takes 15 minutes to get your hands on the loot, and during that time you’ll have to defend yourself against the heavily armed scientist. It’s not an easy task, but if you complete it, the rewards will be amazing.
