Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm Studios have released a new update for Mortal Kombat: Assaultthe new team-based collectible role-playing game (cRPG) with the addition of 5-star fighters, the next chapter of the story, Khronicle events and much more.
Since December 7, MK1 Shang Tsung will be the first of the new 5-star fighters to be available as part of this update. As a ranged support character, MK1 Shang Tsung can throw flaming skulls at his opponent from a distance, summon putrid poison with his special skill, and provide new team synergies with MK1 Scorpion.
From December 7 to 21, fans of Mortal Kombat: Assault They will be able to fight in the limited time event Khronicle Event: Pursuit, in which Shang Tsung is on a mission to save his soul. Players will be able to experience MK1 Shang Tsung as a teammate as they fight in story-driven encounters and discover more about the game’s story, before he is added to the character roster. From now on, Khronicle events will take place every two weeks, with the next event – and the next 5-star fighter – starting on December 21.
Players will also be able to enjoy a new story chapter, in which they can team up with Jade as he seeks to save Princess Kitana. This 3-star melee assassin can teleport to enemies and perform targeted attacks with his iconic staff. Jade will automatically become a permanent fighter in players’ arsenal when they start Chapter 5.

- A new collectible Relic, offering powerful effects
