Today we’re unveiling a brand new gameplay trailer for Open country, an upcoming outdoor adventure and survival game coming to Xbox One on June 3rd, with all the new info and brand new revelations. Read on to find out more!

Open country covers three huge wilderness maps at start. Mellow Hills, Tumnus Valley and Snowridge. Each card represents a different season of the year with its own weather, animal, and survival challenges. You’ll need to equip the right equipment and set up your camp to make it through the next day.
Survival / Chase / Hunt
Everyone has to eat and there is no supermarket Open country. Chasing and hunting local game like elk or rabbit is your next meal. Check out the latest tracks that take you to a large game recently passed and take your shot. Danger! Any stray sound or the smell of a hunter moving against the wind may be enough to scare them off and you will go hungry. Explore the map and find the best hunting areas. You can even choose to set up camp nearby for easy return visits and food storage.
ATV – snowmobile
Find your way around the huge maps of Open country may take a while if you are walking around. Fortunately, we’ve added a few other ways to get around. Grabbing an ATV or snowmobile will cut the travel time significantly. There is a cost, however. Driving a motorized vehicle through the wilderness will scare away most of the game. If you have to take large game with you, the last part of your hike will have to be done on foot.
fishing
Today’s video shows a large part of the game we were looking forward to … fishing! Go to the bank of a nearby lake or river, or hop on a fishing boat and throw your line in the water. You can choose from a variety of fishing rods and lures that will best suit your location. There is a wide variety of fish to be caught and each can add to your meal choices.
Character creation and co-op
Any adventure is better when you share it with a friend. Open country Starts with online two-player co-op modes. In co-op, two players work together to survive the wilderness and complete a hunt for big game. In versus mode, two players compete against each other to be the first to win the trophy.

While playing with a friend is fun, you’ll be happy to know Open country Have fun with your best friend … a dog! Your loyal companion will join in your adventure to help you watch the game or get smaller animals to pack up.
