Ori's creative director explains why Money Studios is not for sale

Creative, director, explains, money, Ori39s, Sale, Studios

Currently few can deny that Ori and the Forest of the Blind is one of the best Xbox One releases. The metroidsian is almost a point in all its stages, which fueled users and critics back in 2015. Finally, after 5 years. Your sequel is ready. It was expected but ultimately, the Money Studios has a date prepared for Ori and the Wills will, a direct continuation of the first.

It's going to be March 11th when we can enjoy it, with comments such as "our head will explode" or that it is Ori and Blind Forest which are Super Bros. 3 to the Super Mario Bros. There are only a few riders who are skeptical of its quality and that in fact no one was able to replicate a title that mixes so much graphic quality with such a wonderful metroid gameplay. For this reason, there are also a few who may wonder why Microsoft has not yet acquired Money Studios, seeing their immense talent.

Money Studios is not for sale

Well there seems to be a simple reason as the studio itself does not want to sell. A series of arguments collected internally post on Resetera Thomas Mahler, creative director of research and therefore of the Ori saga, has been described. In short, they prefer to keep their creative freedom rather than earn more money in the bank:

If we are more successful and make more money, that's fine, but I want to see that as our product that does something that makes a lot of people happy. Not being a slave to money and being in a position where we have said No, has been very good for us. We don't accept bullshit deals from publishers, we don't have to play in anybody's field, we have creative freedom … we are truly happy to be where we are. Would it be good to have more money in the account? Of course, but there is a chance that my day-to-day change will be worse than good.

They are some obvious statements, but also very meaningless. We don't know that because in the first Ori they might try to make some kind of deal with them, or any other reason, but they do know the freedom that Xbox Game Studios offers to its members, even big names like Tim Schaffer among them, and maybe our Affected Mahler is a bit low. What do you think?
