The Overwatch TeamB’s gamelizard become GOTY, finally announces that at the end of April there will be a closed beta of Monitor 2.
After so long with virtually no content and broken promises of better, more constant and smooth communication, to become true which was already an open secret. Or rather almost a no-brainer, given that the Overwatch League 2022 starts on May 5, 2022 and was going to be played in an Overwatch 2 version. They couldn’t start a league in a “game” that the community hadn’t seen or could not test.
The Overwatch team, in the absence of Blizzcon, said that end of February we would have more news on Overwatch 2. But, again, they missed the deadlines. Despite this, yesterday afternoon they posted on the official Overwatch Twitter account the beta news:
In the various publications, we were able to appreciate the change of look of Zenyatta and Brigitteand clearly see the appearance of the new confirmed heroine: Sojourn.
I’ll give you some points with the more relevant information from the beta:
- The beta will focus on pvp mode, i.e. player versus player.
- Overwatch will go 5v5 with a single tank.
- New heroine: Sojourn.
- New game mode Push or advance, as you wish.
- New Ping brand system.
- Rework of Orisa, Bastion, Sombra and Doomfist (The latter seems to become a tank)
- New maps, which even seem to have received a name change, as Canada can now be called New Queen Street.
