Hero balance updates
Within the new season for surveillance 2we’ve been addressing some of the feedback from the community to bring more hero balance to competitive play.
The first thing that needs to be adjusted is the lethality of Sojourn’s Rail Gun. Players have found it difficult to reach the top tiers of competitive ranks unless they have the same mechanical abilities as Sojourn players. We will encourage players to take advantage of Sojourn’s high mobility for devastating close range hits.
Another hero undergoing some big changes is Doomfist. While the core playstyle of his hero identity remains the same, new updates will help Doomfist better support the team’s frontline.
Also, expect some changes to Ana, Bastion, Junker Queen, Kiriko, Mercy, and Symettra, which will be live starting today.
Classic locations loved by fans
Not only can players immerse themselves in the newest map, Shambali Monastery, but they can also return to previous fan-favorite maps and see other locations in a new light. Visit the picturesque town of Rialto or experience fun rides in Blizzard World, the most epic place on earth. Oasis and Nepal now have different times of day that players can battle while the Hollywood and Watchpoint: Gibraltar maps are rotated.
New Greek Mythology Battle Pass and Battle for Olympus mode
Gods and legends from Greek mythology are the theme of Season 2. Play through the Battle Pass or upgrade to the Premium Battle Pass to unlock even more glorious mythological rewards like the legendary Poseidon Ramattra, the legendary Hades Pharah and the all-new get Mythic Zeus Squire Queen skin. This mythical skin includes new customizations, weapon models, voice acting and special effects.
God-like powers are granted to a variety of heroes in our brand new Battle for Olympus game mode! Play the limited time event from January 5th to January 19th and keep an eye out for new skins throughout the season that might give you an idea of what to expect!
Limited Time Events and Twitch Drops
Get ready for three limited-time events this season! In addition to the Battle for Mount Olympus, the classic Winter Wonderland and Lunar New Year events return with fan-favorite modes with even more seasonal rewards. You can earn new skins at each event simply by playing the game and completing event challenges! Get the epic Ice Queen Brigitte in Winter Wonderland, the legendary Winged Victory Mercy in Battle for Mount Olympus, and the legendary Kkachi Echo in Lunar New Year. Winter Wonderland takes place from December 13th to January 4th and you can experience the Lunar New Year from January 17th until February 1st!

Hero Challenges
We have released a new feature of hero challenges that you can accept to Unlock heroes you haven’t earned yet. By choosing the hero’s challenge you want to unlock, you will be placed in the practice area so that you can learn how to play the hero and eventually complete challenges that you must win over watch
If you’re looking for a faster way to unlock the hero without participating in hero challenges, you can purchase it from the in-game shop for instant access. For all surveillance 1 Owner, you can get the three new ones surveillance 2 Heroes Sojourn, Squire Queen and Kiriko by simply logging into the game! This hero bonus ends at the start of Season 3, so log in before then.
