The free-to-play hero shooter Overwatch 2 starts its ninth season with “Champions” on February 13th. The official trailer for the new season is scheduled to premiere on February 7th at 6:00 p.m.
With Season 9, some drastic balance changes will make their way into Overwatch 2. Tanks and damage dealers will have a self-healing ability in the future, although this will be significantly weaker compared to healer characters.
Through the change, developer Blizzard Entertainment hopes to promote more individual styles of play and reduce the pressure on players of support characters.
