Dead Cells hits 10 million sales milestone. In addition, developer Evil Empire is experimenting with ideas for future updates.

Developers Motion Twin and Evil Empire have announced that the roguelike Dead Cells has surpassed 10 million sales since its Early Access launch in 2017. The developers are not planning to rest on their laurels, instead they are already working out ideas for new updates.

Dead Cells has seen a steady stream of new content since launch. In addition to four paid updates that added new biomes, weapons, bosses and more, the developers delivered dozens of updates free of charge.

The numerous collaborations with other brands, including Shovel Knight, Terraria, Risk of Rain, Hyper Light Drifter and Konami’s Castlevania, also provided variety.

What’s next? Developer Evil Empire is “exploring the way forward for the title as a whole” and “tinkering with its proven methodology, experimenting with ideas for future updates and new ways for fans to enjoy one of their favorite roguelikes,” the developers leaked.
