Perfect Dark’s game director has left Xbox developer The Initiative.
The Initiative appears to have made another exit. As discovered by Twitter user “Klobrille”, Dan Neuburger via LinkedIn announced that he is no longer employed by The Initiative.
Klobrille offered the following on the possible reasons: “Dan Neuburger, Game Director at Perfect Dark, has left The Initiative. He was there for 3 years and 8 months. I think I’m starting to understand the idea behind The Initiative. It looks like it’s basically one studio that starts a project and takes it through the concept, prototype and pre-production stages, and then, with the help of another studio that has the manpower, takes it to this one Case Crystal Dynamics to move to full production.”
“That also explains the comment ‘keep small and flexible’ and also… the name of the studio. While I realize some people will go pessimistic again, it could also mean that the game is more advanced than people think. 2023 could be on the agenda I think.”
