Due to technical problems such as stuttering or FPS drops, the PC version of Elden Ring on Steam now has 40 percent bad ratings.
Since Friday, all players have finally been able to explore the vastness of the Elden Ring in-between. Unfortunately, the long-awaited AAA role-playing game from developer From Software has to struggle with some technical problems at the start, which mainly affect the PC version.
Contrary to the numerous top ratings and accolades from the gaming press, the PC version of Elden Ring doesn’t fare too well in player ratings on Steam. 14,101 positive reviews are compared to a total of 9,549 negative reviews. This means that slightly more than 40 percent of the reviews are negative.
The stumbling block are not playful elements such as gameplay, story or the combat system. Much more, many PC players are dissatisfied with the performance of the role-playing game. In particular, stuttering, FPS problems despite meeting the system requirements and the lack of ultrawidescreen support and repeated crashes are criticized.
From Software announced on the day of publication that they were aware of the problems and were already investigating them.
