New round of rumors for all tastes. On this occasion, Persona fans are in luck since we already know that there is a remake of 3 on the horizon. However, today’s news is that it seems that we may have news very soon. As disclosed on the ResetERA forum by insider Vettel, there’s a chance an announcement will be made during the Xbox Games Showcase 2023 event scheduled for Sunday, June 11.
Although there is no official confirmation, of course, one should keep in mind that this source has anticipated news related to the Atlus series in the past, which gives it some credibility. The possibility of a Persona 3 remake has been circulating for some time, and this event could be the perfect setting to introduce it. However, it’s still unclear if the game will be exclusive to Xbox consoles or if there are merchandising deals or even an Xbox Game Pass release on launch day.
The success of Persona 5 on Xbox could have motivated Atlus for a strategic partnership
It should be noted that reliable sources, such as Gematsu, have confirmed the existence of this remake. According to some past leaks, Atlus has been working for several years on the development of a true remake of Persona 3. This goes beyond a simple remaster, since the game should see improvements both technically and in its mechanics. Does it come in Spanish? That would be a good point.
Additionally, it has been discovered that the P3RE.jp domain has been registered in recent months. This domain is linked to other Atlus IP domains, further increasing speculation around a possible remake. However, so far the Japanese company has not confirmed anything and we will have to wait for the event season to hopefully see if there is an official announcement.
The Xbox Showcase will give us answers and we can get excited, or not, depending on what is announced, with what Atlus has prepared to relive the Persona 3 experience. Personally I don’t care if it’s on the Xbox show or another, I want this remake for yesterday.
