Following criticism of the Xbox platform, the developer of Phantom Blade Zero issued a statement and announced the prospect of an Xbox version.
Over the weekend we reported on the statement of a developer from S-Game at ChinaJoy 2024.
An unnamed developer bluntly said that they are ruling out an Xbox version of Phantom Blade Zero on the grounds that nobody needs the Xbox as a platform.
Now the RPG’s development studio has spoken out and made it clear that these statements do not reflect S-Game’s values. Their game should be accessible for every platform.
Here is the full statement:
“Recently, we noticed that some media outlets have claimed to have interviewed an unnamed developer from S-GAME at Chinajoy, who seems to have made some statements regarding the release platforms and strategy for Phantom Blade Zero.”
“We want to make it clear that these alleged statements do not represent the values or culture of S-GAME, as we believe in making our game accessible to everyone and have not ruled out any platforms for Phantom Blade Zero. We are working hard on both the development and release fronts to ensure that as many players as possible can enjoy our game at launch and in the future.”
“Our team is excited to share more development updates soon, and we look forward to unveiling our world premiere demo at Gamescom this month!”
