Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate is an improved version of the original title that was released around a decade ago.
The new edition of the 2D side-scrolling action game runs more smoothly thanks to Unreal Engine 5 and offers revised gameplay. The title offers local and online co-op as well as versus modes that you can experience with up to 8 players.
In addition to new, revised gameplay, you can also expect new characters and a complete remaster of the soundtrack, which was composed by the J-rock band Phantom Breakers. Alternatively, if you want, you can choose the classic version of the soundtrack.
We looked at the demo version of Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate on the PC via Steam and recorded it for you in a new video.

Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate is scheduled to release on February 13, 2025 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam and Epic Game Store.
