Agreement between Nintendo, Steam and Microsoft for the saga.
In the long battle to acquire Activision/Blizzard, Microsoft has just dropped a bombshell. Through a series of tweets, Phil Spencer mentioned the existence of commercial agreements to guarantee Call of Duty on Nintendo for at least ten years and also to maintain the presence of the series on Steam.
“Microsoft made a 10-year commitment to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo following the merger of Microsoft and Activision Blizzard King. Microsoft is committed to bringing more games to more people, however they choose to play.”
There is no doubt that this news will not please Sony, which is trying by all means to undo the acquisition, accusing the American giant of wanting to monopolize the FPS sector, since Call of Duty
This news is further proof that Call of Duty won’t be an Xbox exclusive for years.
