Is the '90s fever still a thing? It's definitely at Zen Studios, as we have a great year revisiting the art of the decade's Pinball with our Williams Pinball packs. Newcomers to the Xbox One and Windows 10, including three heavy hitters – Tales of the Arabian Nights, Circus Voltaire and No Good Gifts.
As we have with all other Williams packs so far, the Volume 5 offers the most comprehensive simulation models out there – but for those who crave a little "video game" with their Xbox, impossible enhancements to the physical machine can be started by the touch of a button. Genie throws fireworks at you Arabian Nights, and the animated Ringmaster pours insults on Circus Voltaire – Courtesy of the initiative by Peter Grafl, Zen Pinball Builder. My favorite of the package, though, No Good Gifts, which combines golf-like golf holes with pinball action. Admittedly, it reminds me of “Caddyshack.”
Note the number: rewatch “Caddyshack”
Whether you like academic or improvised play, physics and feel come first. We spent many weeks repairing our physics engine to the exact level of detail that these articles deserve. We're in the same shoes as Pinball players around the world – it's a real battle to get these machines in the field, especially in good condition. Our task with Will's tables is to maintain these works of art and give players the opportunity to play them every day.
Note for yourself: Beat a record on the Circus Voltaire office machine!
If you know Zen Studios, you know we always had a strong relationship with the Xbox that started back in the days of the Xbox Live Arcade. This year we released 11 new pinball tables (!) On the console and Windows 10, entitled Game Pass RPG titled Operencia: Stolen Sun (Rated 82 on Metacritic!), And went to PAX East and EGX Rezzed as part of ID @ Xbox booths – great year!
Note to self: Take more photos at events!
I hope you enjoy it Williams Pinball volume 5 on Xbox One and Windows 10, and I wish everyone a Happy Holidays and New Year's. Get behind that 100G achievement. I'm planning a mine!
I started playing Xbox a lot thanks to Call of Duty online. Since then I haven't stopped playing competitive online.
