Starting Friday November 12th, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can jump in and get started with EA Play Battlefield 2042 with Early Access, a 10-hour trial of legendary Battlefield gameplay moments that will run until the game’s global launch on Sept.

Not everyone needs a data drive scanner

One of the most important (and free) devices in the danger zone is the data drive scanner – it is used to scan the field and locate a data drive. Make sure to coordinate with your squad while in the pre-match equipment screen to determine this who will be responsible for this task because not everyone needs a data drive scanner – you should try to put together the best balanced roster to be successful in the danger zone. When you choose who is to oversee data drive scanning, the rest of your team can free up their equipment slot for other useful technology.

It’s okay to back off

Chances are, you’ll run into other teams fighting over the same data drive collection, either player squads or AI-controlled occupation forces. It may be tempting to battle an enemy team and wrest control of a data drive away from them, but there are plenty of other locations on the map to choose from. When the fighting gets too hot there is no shame in retreating to a different, less hostile location. Recall

: Your target here is the data drives, not your kill streak, and you get a bigger net reward for the numbers you successfully extract.

Get to the last extraction point early

There are two extractions that take place during the game, but if your team chooses to hold out with your plethora of data drives on the final extraction, it can create a hell of a hectic (and fun!) Experience with everyone trying to get in on the final CV -38 Condor and be flown in safety. In our experience, knowing the location of the last extraction point is best to get there first and establish a solid defensive position to fend off other squads. And don’t think that once you get to the Condor you are good to go.
