Democracy 4 is the latest entry in the series of genre-defining political simulations, coming to consoles in June.
Auroch Digital and Positech Games have announced that they will release the political hit Democracy 4: Console Edition on June 5, 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox.
Democracy 4: Console Edition is a political simulation game in which you take on the role of the leader of one of several countries.
In your position, you are able to select policies, laws, and take other actions that have a positive impact on some areas of your country while negatively impacting others. The ultimate goal is to win the next election through your actions.

At the beginning of your political career, you have the opportunity to take over a country from a selection of ten countries. These include the USA, Great Britain, Japan, France, Canada, Australia, Europe, Germany, Italy and South Korea.
You then take over a pre-selected cabinet that has its own biases and opinions towards the previous leader. It is then up to you to determine the future of your chosen country.
Introduces new policies, changes existing laws, responds to developing events, and attempts to gain ground in the public’s polls. You have years to craft your legacy – will it be one that is remembered because you get re-elected, or one that is forgotten because it ends in disappointment?
As head of government, you will be asked to comment on situations that have made headlines in the press. Depending on the direction your government has taken so far, the way you handle these situations can have an impact on how the public views how you handle unforeseen events and times of crisis.
As your country begins to emerge, some people will stand behind you and others will disagree with your decisions. This can even be taken to the extreme as you may experience assassination attempts and other challenges during your tenure.
If you make it to the end of your term, you must put together a manifesto to show voters what the future will look like for them if you are re-elected. Are you going to be realistic or are you going to offer everything you can to get people’s votes when things aren’t going well otherwise?
Democracy 4: Console Edition takes the addictive gameplay of the PC version and adapts it from the ground up for consoles. Starting June 5, 2024, you will be voted to the top of the country of your choice on Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox consoles.
