The Resident Evil 4 Remake will offer roughly the same gameplay as the 2005 original.
The recent Resident Evil Showcase featured moving images of the upcoming Resident Evil 4 Remake in the form of a gameplay trailer and a story trailer.
In an interview, producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi assured that fans of the horror series, in contrast to the remake of Resident Evil 3 released in 2020, do not have to worry about cuts in the new edition of Resident Evil 4 and that the playing time will roughly correspond to that of the original with PC gamers:
“When we started making Resident Evil 4, we looked at what people liked [in den Remakes von Resident Evil 2 und Resident Evil 3] and what could have been done better. An example is that Resident Evil 4 gameplay time is roughly the same as the original game.”
Resident Evil 4 Remake will be released on March 24, 2023 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.
