The April update brings some exciting additions World of Warships: Legends The game is celebrating its second year since its early access release. Get ready to unlock and command aircraft carriers to participate in a new campaign and prepare for new seasons in Arena mode! Let’s start with a look at the new flattops.
Aircraft carriers are here to stay and explore the high seas! Your feedback from the airstrike earlier this year has been largely positive, although we’ve made some changes to it in the meantime. First and foremost, it’s the balance changes. We’ve made some improvements to give the porters a little more power in combat. Most importantly, based on your feedback, we’ve added an automatic navigation system that allows you to reposition your ship while you fly your squadrons around. The other types of ships also received opportunities to improve their anti-aircraft firepower in the form of commanding skills, modules and, for cruisers, consumables for defensive anti-aircraft fire. How do you get into a carrier, you ask?
You can search for U.S. and Japanese airlines from day one, with Langley, Hōshō, Ranger, and Ryūjō returning in Tiers III and V, while two newcomers arrive in Tier VII – Shōkaku and Lexington. The carrier branch of the tech tree comes from Tier III battleships. Also, make sure you have a head start in the commanders game by completing a series of unique missions available in this update to win carrier-specific commanders Ernest King and Tamon Yamaguchi. Get ready for a whole new dimension of combat, captains!
The new Limit Breaker campaign will also be featured in the April update and will run for 5 weeks with 100 milestones to progress. Limit Breaker’s crown jewel is the Japanese cruiser Suzuya. This Mogami-class cruiser offers an impressive broadside of fifteen 155mm cannons and plenty of torpedoes to keep enemies at bay. Combine your armament with excellent mobility and you have a powerful light cruiser! Suzuya served during World War II, albeit in a rebuilt form. She saw action in several key battles, including the massive Battle of Leyte Gulf, where she was sunk by US planes. As usual, you can match them with a ton of gear and rewards in the campaign with the support of the Admiralty.
Arena mode is back! Get ready for the return of intense 4-way battles! During this update there will be not one but two seasons, each with its own set of rules. Players will see the leaderboard return for both, keeping track of different metrics based on the season. Most importantly, the top three brackets of the ranking, namely the 25%, the 10% and the 1%, receive steel badges. So it is the best time to start working on these steel reserves! The weeklong seasons begin on April 19th and May 3rd.
