An ex-SEGA employee hinted at a possible collaboration with Capcom in a tweet.
Former designer Satoshi Okano has sparked speculation among fans on Twitter with a cryptic crossover hint between SEGA and Capcom.
Capcom, the Japanese video game developer and publisher known for well-known game series such as Street Fighter, Resident Evil and Monster Hunter, has already published several crossover titles in the past such as Marvel vs. Capcom or Street Fighter x TEKKEN.
Capcom characters have also been used in games from other publishers, such as in the strategy role-playing game Project x Zone from Bandai Namco.
Now Okano, who left SEGA in 2006 and founded his own studio, is with Vague tweets a potential collaboration between SEGA and Capcom was hinted at, but later denied a possible crossover game between the two publishers.
This suggests that this could be cosmetic DLC for Street Fighter 6 or some other type of in-game content. However, the release year of 2024 and a connection to Capcom’s upcoming action strategy game Kunitsu Gami were repeatedly mentioned in the cryptic tweets.
We’ll probably find out what the “Secret Messegas” is all about in the next few weeks.
