Ready for a sweet treat? Power Rangers: Battle for the Net brings its latest character release this week, starring Dino Charge villain and Candy Queen Poisandra – an ancient bounty hunter who crossed the Rangers’ path several times in the pursuit of her bounties. A deadly mixture of strength and grace, Poisandra punishes opponents with her heart-shaped lance and cake mines, while her husband Sledge offers several assist moves.
Poisandra turns out to be no puff in a street fight. The crackling fuses of Poisandra’s cakes lit by proximity are a loud warning that she has temporarily claimed part of the combat zone. Poisandra’s assist attack has other fighters serving up cake as well. Speaking of assists, Poisandra’s husband Sledge can lay cover fire for his lover or storm across the battlefield in front of her like an assault device.
Poisandra’s appearance shows off her unpredictable personality and style – she wears bright pink and covered herself in hearts, and carries an oversized heart-shaped lance and booby-trapped candy to crush her opponents. When battling opponents, she wears her own cheerful villain style – hops to run, wags her hands in eagerness, and spins across the stage with diabolical attacks.
Most popular video game voice actress, Carrie Keranen, speaks Poisandra and Sleds. Sabotaged candy for everyone ﹣ Poisandra mocks her opponents with lines as indulgent as her fighting style; “Caramelize!” “Let them eat cake!” “Desserts only!” and “Sweet tooth!” belong to the playful lines that Poisandra throws in the way of her opponent next to her flammable cake.
In this version, the legendary Gravezord is also added. This powerful Zord, which first appeared in Saban’s Go Go Power Rangers # 9 comic, was cobbled together from the pieces of damaged and destroyed Zords from the world of the coinless. When unleashed, Gravezord fills the screen with havoc from his blade thrusts and bursts of energy.
