Prince of Persia, a remake trapped in the sands of time

Something looks wrong for the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time of Ubisoft, and it’s that after all the time it’s been in development, it keeps getting constantly delayed for reasons that will soon run out. We can now expect nothing or almost nothing from the last date they gave us and it is that 2023 seems an impossible date in this saga that we are all eager to see adapted to new times.

Of course, we assume all this after withdrawal by Ubisoft reservations in main portals who sell video games. We already talked in May about the complicated situation that the developer was going through to bring this game to the present time.

PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME

Lots of headaches for such a big company

Ubisoft in a start of sincerity and information said (via PC Gamer): “We are proud of the work done by Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbaithere Ubisoft Montreal you will benefit from your learnings as the new team continues the work to deliver a great remake. As a result, we are no longer targeting an FY23 release and the game has been delisted.

“If players wish to cancel their order in advance, they are invited to contact their retailer,” he said. Ubisoft. “They will be updated on the project as development progresses.”

This comes shortly after the project moved developers from studios to Ubisoft’s Pune and Mumbai a Ubisoft Montreal, which obviously would have had a disastrous effect on development times.
