IO Interactive wants fresh blood and comes a long way with the character
This was announced quite some time ago. Project 007a video game Interactive IO about the most famous secret agent in the world: James Bond 007. We don’t know many details about the project yet, but we do know that they will take much of what was learned with Agent 47 and his franchise Hitmanalready consolidated.

According to Abrak, the game is developed and financed entirely by IO Interactive and he assures that the future of this franchise would be promising.
“We believe that more than 20 years of training with this fantasycreating a globetrotting agent and all that, gave us some technical knowledge on this subject. But obviously James Bond is a different intellectual property. It’s a huge IP. This is not our IP. In fact, this is the first IP that is not our original IP from scratch,”
“But what’s exciting about this project is that we managed to create an original story. So it’s not a gamification of a film. This is the start of a story that will hopefully lead to a major trilogy in the future.. And just as important and exciting, it’s a new Bond. It’s a connection that we created from scratch for players. It’s extremely exciting, with all the tradition and history that exists together, to work on this with the family to create a young bond for the players; a bond that players can take ownership of and grow with.
Hakan Abrak recognizes that the 007 license has been able to reinvent itself for many years and is one of the most important IPs that exist in the world of cinema. They know the relevance of the project and that it has generated great expectations, because it is a very difficult task to live up to the franchise.
Finally, the studio head comments that he knows that from the outside it seems like there is a lot of mystery surrounding this project, but that they will share more information in due time. Project 007 has not yet specified platforms or release window, but as soon as they are ready “they will open their mouths” according to Abrak.
