PUBG: Battlegrounds reaches new highs thanks to the tenth map Rondo.
KRAFTON Inc. announces that PUBG: Battlegrounds is on a new high following the release of RONDO, the tenth map. RONDO has attracted a lot of attention around the world with its various areas that combine both tradition and modern elements.
Since RONDO’s release on December 6th, the number of concurrent players has increased significantly, reaching a peak of 620,000 after just ten days on Steam.
The short film GROUND OF HONOR: RONDO, directed by Sam Hargrave (Extraction and Extraction 2), shows the intense confrontation between “Beta”, played by Lee Jung-Jae, and “Alpha”, played by Daniel Wu.
The film was released on December 6th at the same time as the official release YouTube channels of PUBG: Battlegrounds released worldwide and has now surpassed one million views.
PUBG: Battlegrounds is celebrating the launch of RONDO with a series of events. Players can participate in the “RONDO Welcome Gift” and “Claim your Weapons Skins” events on the event page to receive rewards.
In addition, in-game events such as the “Check-in Event of Honor”, the “RONDO Mission Event” and official community events such as the “Acrostic Poem Event” and the “Screenshot Event” are currently running.
“RONDO is a map where modern cities and locations with traditional flair from the past coexist and create a special charm,” said Taehyun Kim, Production Director of In-Game, PUBG STUDIOS. “In the first month after launch, we will give players enough time to explore the new map and get used to it. “We will then introduce new features and content that put a new spin on the core elements of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS – LAND, LOOT, SURVIVE – to offer more choice and a fresh gaming experience.”
“We sincerely thank our fans for their love and interest in the release of RONDO, the tenth map of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS,” said Taeseok Jang, Executive Producer of PUBG STUDIOS. “Thanks to the love and feedback from our players, we have always been able to evolve and we will continue to do our best to give them the gameplay they want.”
