Developer The Sixth Hammer Studios announces the release of Moo Lander, the 2D cattle adventure platformer, on May 27th, 2022 for PlayStation, Xbox and PC. A Nintendo Switch version is planned for fall 2022.
In the Moo Lander universe, milk is the primary source of energy, second only to the explosions of a dying star. The problem is that it runs out quickly. With much at stake for your civilization, you have heard rumors of an ancient device that can produce infinite amounts of milk.
After making your way to the only working starship left in your civilization, you set off into a beautifully handcrafted world filled with deadly aliens and ancient taurine enemies.
Meet the cows
Journey across peaceful pastures and dark dungeons to find the source of milk and unravel the mysteries of the Mighty Cows. Before you jump into the fray, you need to get an overview of the situation.
More than 20 Mighty Cows await your arrival in Moo Lander, each with their own unique abilities and personalities. Granny Toxic sends her horde of toxic minions after you, while the Last Milkbender wields complete control of the precious substance.
No joke, the Supreme Rabbit Cow uses her explosive carrots and mobility honed over centuries to confuse her enemies and get one step ahead of the vicious, carnivorous Cowger.
Each powerful cow has a unique cow AI that controls its behavior and requires a well-considered approach. Milk Sabers, Milk Beams and much more are at your disposal, but you must not harm the Old Mighty Cows. These fearsome beasts must be defeated using non-lethal methods and careful use of the environment.
When you need a break from the clashes with the planet’s defenders, you can play one of Moo Lander’s four Mooltiplayer modes with up to three other players in couch co-op or via Steam Remote Play.
Round up some friends to battle the mighty cow AI together, or ditch all the chips in a fierce PvP battle. If you need something a little more non-combat, join the Cow Races and hunt down the planet’s cattle in an exciting competition.
