Quirky characters, wonders and weapons! 2K and Gearbox Entertainment announce Tiny Tinas Wonderlands for 2022.
As we reported earlier, 2K and Gearbox Entertainment announced yesterday that Tiny Tinas Wonderlands – a new imaginative adventure set in an unpredictable world of quirky characters, wonders and weapons – will be in early 2022, the fourth quarter of Take-Two’s fiscal year Interactive (NASDAQ: TTWO) for Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
In an epic fantasy world, players in this looter shooter can create their own multi-class heroes with whom they can loot as they shoot, slaughter and conjure their way through a quest involving strange monsters and dungeons full of treasure to kill the tyrannical Dragon Lord to stop.
The completely unpredictable Tiny Tina leads the player through the chaotic fantasy world that she has brought to life – a world with its own rules, in which projectiles meet magic and swords and whose occurrences Tiny Tina likes to spontaneously turn upside down .
Tiny Tinas Wonderlands is a completely stand-alone adventure. The sophisticated co-op campaign for up to four players is driven by its story and again offers playable endgame content.
“Wonderlands is the result of more than a decade of re-enacted work on a vision for Gearbox Software: an RPG shooter set in a fantasy universe,” said Randy Pitchford, founder of Gearbox Entertainment and executive producer for Tiny Tinas Wonderlands. “It’s a new, full-fledged video game in which you fight dragons, skeletons, goblins and other opponents with Borderlands® weapons in an original fantasy world born from the imagination of the deadliest thirteen-year-old in the galaxy (Tiny Tina). For me personally, this will make a dream come true. “
Sitting with the players at the table are the idiosyncratic Captain Valentine (Andy Samberg), the rule-obsessed robot Frette (Wanda Sykes) and the popular, bomb-throwing Tiny Tina (Ashly Burch), who leads through the extraordinary tabletop realm where rules are more of a minor matter. On their quest to defeat the Dragon Lord (Will Arnett), players will encounter a number of lovable eccentrics such as the bardbarian with his lute and her own punch fairy.
“We are thrilled to see how much development talent on the part of Gearbox and undeniable star power on the part of the cast come together in this game,” said David Ismailer, President of 2K. “We are always looking for exciting ideas and opportunities to build on our existing brands. Therefore, we are all the more pleased when, like here, a passionate team of creative worlds and characters fill with life that not only appeal to long-term fans, but also to new target groups. “
In the brand new trailer released, 2K and Gearbox introduce the game’s unique themes, fantasy world and star cast:
Tiny Tinas Wonderlands, developed by Gearbox Entertainment, is expected to be released with an age rating of 16 and over.
