Rare is thinking about allowing six ships per server to set sail again in Sea of Thieves.

Five ships are currently allowed per server in multiplayer games. However, the release on PlayStation 5 will increase the pool of players.
In an FAQ, developer Rare writes that the team is currently examining the return of servers with six ships. You then want to inform the players accordingly.
Servers with six ships per server have existed before. But that didn’t catch on with the players at the time. Since then, many others have been hoping for a return.
The pirate game Sea of Thieves will also set sail on PlayStation 5 on April 30th.
