The development studio Raven Software was temporarily working on a Call of Duty: Zombies live service game.
Raven Software, one of the studios that annually assists in the development of the latest installment in the Call of Duty shooter series, has had a zombie game in development in the past.
The information about this comes from Michael Gummelt. According to his own information on his LinkedIn profile, he had worked on a Call of Duty: Zombies live service game from November 2011 to June 2012.
In the profile he writes: “Lead designer for an ambitious new Call of Duty: Zombies live service project. Was canceled when that [Activision]-Studio, which ‘owned’ this portion of the Call of Duty IP, wanted it back.”
Gummelt also recently hinted at a possible revival of classic Raven Software IPs.
