These are the winners of the 42nd Golden Joystick Awards who received an award this year.

The winners of the 42nd Golden Joystick Awards were announced in a glittering ceremony live at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London and streamed worldwide.

Over 12 million public votes were cast to determine winners in 21 different categories. Three additional categories – Critics' Choice, Breakthrough Award and Streamers' Choice – were voted on by critics.

Black Myth: Wukong won the biggest prize of the night – Ultimate Game of the Year – as well as the award for best visual design.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth received four awards for Best Story, Best Soundtrack, Best Supporting Actress (Briana White) and Best Actor (Cody Christian), while Helldivers 2 also received four awards for Best Multiplayer Game, Best Game Trailer, the Console Game of the Year and the coveted Critics' Choice Award.

Other winners included Astro Bot, which won Best Audio Design, and Team ASOBI, the game's developers, who also took home the Studio of the Year award.

Fan favorite Satisfactory won PC Game of the Year, while roguelike deck builder Balatro took home Best Indie Game and the critically coveted Breakthrough Award.

The awards ceremony was hosted by Ben Starr, along with special guests from the gaming world including actors Alex McKenna, Alix Wilton Regan, Derek Siow, Neil Newbon, Patricia Summersett and Samantha Béart, as well as content developer GeeNelly.
