The title released in 2002 on the first Xbox receives a surprising facelift.
During Summer Game Fest, we were treated to one of the surprises of the year, as Nightdive Studios has announced The Thing: Remastered, coming to consoles and PC later this year.
Nightdive Studios said that The Thing: Remastered is a “faithful restoration of the 2002 cult classic, a third-person survival horror shooter inspired by the 1982 Universal Pictures film, The Thing.”
Nightdive put all the meat on the grill and has updated this horror classic to include 4K/120fps support, as well as new and improved character models, textures and animations. It also adds improvements to lighting and atmospheric effects.
The Thing: Remastered will be released later this year in digital format for Windows PC via Steam and GOG, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
