Remedy is one of those very special studios, and they always manage to maintain a certain buzz every time they announce a new game. Its latest IPs, Quantum Break and Control, are two very good games with some pretty original stories. who manage to keep the player glued to control from the first minute. However, and perhaps in a personal capacity, there is another Remedy game above these: Alan wake
While the studio “refuses” to speak clearly of a sequel, it looks like an expansion is entering their plans that will lead them to be a larger, more comprehensive study. For this remedy will open next year a new studio in Stockholm, where there could be up to 25 workers.
Will Remedy talk about Alan Wake 2 soon?
The idea of creating this study is mainly for workers to have a space to meet on time, and that is after COVID Remedy has implemented a hybrid remote and face-to-face model which is best suited to these times. In the words of James Salt, one of the game directors of Remedy:
We understand that everyone is different and has different needs on different days. Some days are best spent focused, with headphones on, working on something cool, while other days, like when teams are working on planning, they might benefit from spending some time in person. The hybrid model is all about allowing people to choose the method that works best for them on any given day.
A great measure of Remedy that many other companies should be starting to embrace (and not just in video games).
