Tango Gameworks founder and CEO Shinji Mikami is about to leave the studio after more than 12 years of collaboration. Bethesda Senior Vice President Todd Vaughn announced in an email to all Betesdha that legendary game designer Shinji Mikami Tango Gameworks is leaving Xbox Game Studios.
I’m writing to inform you today that the head of the studio, Shinji Mikami, has decided to leave Tango Gameworks in the coming months. Mikami-san has been a creative director and encouraging mentor to young Tango developers for 12 years through his work on the Evil Within franchise, Ghostwire: Tokyo and of course Hi-Fi Rush.

Shinji Mikami has had an amazing career. It appears in game credits everyone knows as the first Resident Evil. He also worked on all the games up until Resident Evil 4. Otherwise he developed games like Dino Crisis, Viewtiful Joe and Vanquish.
