It’s time to return to a world full of survival horror Resident Evil Village on Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S. Takes place at Baker’s Plantation after the chilly events Resident Evil 7: BiohazardEthan Winters returns to visit a remote snow-covered village that may have the answers he is looking for when he stumbles through a new living nightmare after a string of tragic events.
Welcoming Ethan to this shady European village is a multitude of mutated lords, each controlling a different aspect of the village. There is the giant hammer with Karl Heisenberg; towering yet seductive Alcina Dimistrescu and her three daughters; the grotesque half-man, half-fish Salvatore Moreau; and the creepy Donna Benefiento, who is accompanied by an equally creepy puppet named Angie (no thanks). The administration of all these lords is taken over by the mysterious mother Miranda, the ruler of the village and venerated by everyone who lives there.
The wildcard here is Chris Redfield, usually a hero in the Resident Evil series, but everything we’ve seen about him so far suggests that he has some sinister motives Resident Evil Village. We just have to take a trip to this snow-capped village to help Ethan find the answers he is looking for.
At the top of this horror festival is the incredible RE Engine, which in combination with an Xbox Series X | S delivers hyper-realistic graphics and ray tracing and brings the mysterious village and its citizens to life.
