Resident Evil Village turned out to be one of the most popular game releases of 2021. However, PC gamers felt that Capcom I hadn’t fully optimized Resident Evil Village for the platform. Throughout the game, PC gamers repeatedly experimented with stuttering and frame drops.

that bypass your DRM seems to have fixed all instances of stuttering. It must be very clear that using a crack, like the one created by EMPRESS, is illegal even if the player owns the game.

A crack posted by hacking group EMPRESS last week made a startling statement in their article on Resident Evil Village. The description promises that the stuttering is a direct result of Capcom’s DRM.

Therefore, when the DRM functions are removed, stuttering does not occur.

Other reports from DSO game seem to corroborate EMPRESS’s claims that their crack fixes Resident Evil Village’s stuttering issues. DSO Gaming claims to have played more than two hours with the crack installed and has not experienced stuttering

throughout the game.

The purchase of a game is, in effect, a license to play it as the developer intended. Therefore, there is no legal way to play on PC without DRM and therefore there is no way to play without performance issues in the game. The only legal way would be to convince Capcom to officially remove DRM from the PC version of Resident Evil Village.
