Analgesic Productions studio and publisher, Ratalaika Games, announce the future release of Anodyne 2: Return to Dust. After a first episode that was very inspired by Zelda in 2D and released in 2013, the studio puts the cover back with this second part.
You play as Nova, a nano-cleaner who has to explore an island to treat patients with terrible diseases. To get there, you shrink in their bodies to soak up the infamous nanodust that infects them. The little peculiarity of the title is to adopt a style that alternates between 2D of the GBA and 3D 16 bit at the beginning of the era of the PS1. So it’s not about offering a graphic punch, but above all a poetic narrative. In addition, the game was released on PC in 2019 and has the most positive reviews.
Just like the franchise from Final FantasyIt is not necessary to have played the first game to understand the history of this game. In addition, the first episode shone with its musical atmosphere and it seems that this second part does the same. Make your decision with the announcement trailer below:
Certainly, Anodyne 2 is not a title addressed to everyone, but has the merit of fully embracing its universe. It will be available on all consoles on February 18th.
