Between August 24 and 29, this year’s edition of Gamescom will be held, Europe’s largest face-to-face event that returns to its traditional modality after the restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic. During the start of the conference, the presentations of several games will meet, and one of the big ones confirmed is the long-awaited Return to Monkey Island.
The game was announced in April this year and it will be set in the saga timeline (which is already around 3 decades old) as part three and will feature two of its original creators: Ron Gilbert as director and Dave Grosman as designer and writer.

As for the presence of the game at Gamescom, Geoff Keighley himself confirmed it through his twitter accountalthough it is not yet known if we will see details about the history of the title or something that will be the gameplay of this new graphic adventure, although it is very likely that we will have some sort of trailer to publish during the convention.
One of the most awaited data by Monkey Island fans is the release date of this new opus, which is scheduled for 2022, although it does not yet have an exact arrival date, which could appear in Gamescom.
