We See the Justice League’s Most Charming Face in DC’s Justice League: Cosmic Chaos
Outright Games and PHL Collective They return to work with a very attractive license for the little ones or the youngest in the house, since they bring us DC’s Justice League: Cosmic Chaos; quite a scenic and colorful action adventure.
DC’s Justice League: Cosmic Chaos It reaches us on consoles and PC without making much noise along the way, although the truth is that we have found an entertaining proposal that advocates simplicity and simplicity in order to give us a good time, clearly and simply.
Of course, it’s not a work that leaves its mark, even if it knows how to play its cards well to be a good alternative to titles like LEGO or Minecraft Dungeons. Thus, the title that we are dealing with in these lines offers us exactly what we could expect from this type of product, in addition to the fact that, although it is aimed at a certain audience, anyone who wants to dive will find more than satisfying entertainment.
In fact, the game contains a large number of references to DC comics or movie material, so we will also find in it a good incentive for those people who are faithful to this universe. Likewise, the action and development of the story unfolds accompanied by a good dose of humor, which is quite well written and brightens up the dialogue very well.
The premise of the work revolves around, as is logically apparent from its title, the justice league. However, it mainly focuses on Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, the three characters that can be controlled and alternated throughout the adventure. Thus, we will participate in their fight against Sr. Mxyzptlk, an occasional Superman villain who takes over nearly all of the Justice League except for the three aforementioned heroes. So, we will have to fight against this evil entity, which proclaims itself mayor of Good Port, and his minions to free the city and our companions from their evil plans.
As we said, this action adventure allows us to alternate between Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman at any time, giving the gameplay some variety. This is due to the fact each character has their own set of abilities, special moves and actions, which we will unlock and improve as we progress through the story.
The combat system is very simple and simple, since with just a few buttons we will have all the actions and movements available. Likewise, the control gives us good sensations thanks to a good response and a well-polished control. On the other hand, the perspective of the camera is isometric, which allows us to have a good view of the action and to control the available space while we fight.
We’ve already commented that the adventure has some incentive for DC veterans thanks to the sheer number of winks it cherishes. Although it also has another appeal for those looking for demand in what is playable, because the title has up to five difficulty levels from which we can choose the one that best suits us. Starting from the lowest “Very easy” to the most difficult “Heroic”, we can have a more or less difficult experience.
But that’s not all, because there is also a series of very interesting collectibles for comic book lovers. This is a good number of outfits for our characters, which are obtained by collecting a few pages of lost comics scattered throughout the universe of the title. That way, we also have a little exploration slant that’s well worth it, since many of these cosmetics come from classic DC works. In addition, these game elements include a small description that indicates their origin, thus clearly indicating which comic belongs to each costume that we obtain.
As you can see, it’s all about fan service. However, none of this would make sense if the formula didn’t work on its own. And the truth is that it is, and in a good way. The proposal offers a range of fairly entertaining main missions, as well as a good sequence of secondary missions that feed its content. With this we have a campaign that it will distract us for about 6 or 8 hours.
This duration can vary more or less depending on the difficulty we have chosen, as well as the number of high schools we decide to complete in our game. And the truth is that it is a more than acceptable duration for the type of game in progress. The negative part of this whole fun offer and campaign is that we can’t complete it co-op.
Finally, the graphic and sound part is simply correct, the first being better than the second. Regarding the first of these, comment that the artistic style is well chosen for the tone and target audience of the proposal, and also that the cartoonish or “chibi” style looks great on the product. On the other hand, the performance is quite stable, although a little more work is needed in the optimization. Regarding the second section, comment that the music is simply bland, coming off as somewhat generic and lacking in spark. And as for the localization of the work, let’s say that the voices are decently dubbed in Spanish and that the texts are well translated.
conclusion
DC’s Justice League: Cosmic Chaos is a fun and entertaining proposition, affordable and accessible for the whole family. Likewise, it’s a good attraction for anyone who loves the DC Universe, as it includes good references and a healthy dose of humor. Granted, there’s nothing revolutionary about video gaming, but it ends up being an enjoyable experience; despite its shortcomings or failures such as: lack of cooperation.
