The decade of the 80s of the last century produced some of the best action movies of all time: Die Hard, Predator or Terminator are a few mythical examples. Among this selected distribution we can also find RoboCop. The film directed by Paul Verhoeven in 1987, the action accelerated, endowing it with social criticism, but also blood and violence.
The film tells the tragic story of Alex murphy, a police officer cruelly murdered in the line of duty in the near future in the city of Detroit, ravaged by crime. Murphy is the victim of an experiment to get the perfect cop and thus transformed into a cyborg. The film was hugely popular, spawning several sequels and a remake, as well as a live-action series and an animated series. In the video game business, the franchise has been productive for a few years, but has been forgotten for years.
Revealed yesterday in the Nacon Connect, the publisher announced that they are working on a new title based on the franchise called RoboCop: Rogue City. The game develops it Teyon, who has already picked up another franchise from the same era: Terminator: Resistance Last year. While we don’t know almost everything about the game, in the trailer we can see the protagonist’s signature gun built into his hip. We will wait for more details until its launch.
