Electrify the competition
One of the main highlights of this update is the introduction of electricity. This new feature powers your base components, and the integration brings numerous benefits that greatly enhance your base-building potential.
By using circuits, you have the ability to connect multiple electrical components together, providing a variety of ways to increase the functionality of your base. For example, you can do something simple like install a heartbeat sensor outside of your base that connects to an alarm system to get an alert if someone tries to camp you, or you can do something much more complex and create a trap base! This base can be fully automated, so don’t forget to check it every now and then to collect the loot from those unlucky enough to fall for your trap.
The possibilities are endless and the system is as complex as you wished it to be, giving you a lot more freedom in how you choose to survive on the island.
Before planning a new base layout, you need to consider two crucial aspects. Firstly, it is necessary to ensure a reliable source of energy, which can be obtained from solar panels, wind turbines or small generators that consume inferior fuel to keep your electrical components operational.
Second, it’s important to consider the number of items you plan to fit into your base, as each item will use a certain amount of power and you’ll need to make sure you have enough power to keep everything functional. Power supply can be difficult at night as solar panels do not generate electricity. Therefore, to keep your base functional, you need to install batteries that can store enough energy for the night.
Not even radiation can stop you!
The power station marks the latest addition to the list of monuments in Rust Console Edition. This mid-game monument offers a wealth of valuable loot, including a prized red keycard for those who solve the puzzle in the main building. Code Locked Hackable Crates can also drop in this monument.
Be warned, however, that certain areas of this monument are contaminated due to the remains of the abandoned nuclear power plants at its core. As such, it is highly recommended that you equip yourself with proper protective gear, such as a hazmat suit, before venturing into this area of the map. It’s also advisable to bring some medical supplies and at least one weapon, as the power plant is often fought over by other players.
If you manage to survive at the end of your loot run, the rewards are sure to be worth your time.
A brand new start
As part of the Power Surge update, we will be performing a full blueprint wipe on all servers. This means that every player, regardless of their experience level, gets a fresh start.
With the introduction of new Electricity items, the tech tree will expand, giving players a wider range of options. The result is a more nuanced and intricate blueprint system that allows you to create your character in unique and imaginative ways.
