A new faction enters the arena
Inspired by R6, GS Commando expands the selection in XDefiant. This faction has unique abilities: the Shock Wire can be used to create a high-voltage barrier around a target and the Active Defense System (ADS) can be used to fend off incoming enemy explosives.
As an Ultra ability, GS Commando has a lightning shield, a shield equipped with LEDs that can also be used as mobile cover. In addition to the Ultra ability, this faction is equipped with a hardhat to reduce the effect of enemy headshots.
Two new modes
Two new Arena modes will be introduced with the launch of Season 1. First up is Capture the Flag (CTF), a fast-paced run-and-gun match where the goal is to capture a flag and return it before it falls into the hands of the opposing team. This mode is available starting today. Bomb mode will be added later in the season, requiring players to think more strategically as they take turns to either defend or defuse an explosive device.
Ranked Match
Ranked Play is a 4v4 playlist that supports Domination, Conquest, Zone Control, and Escort game modes. There will be a total of seven ranks that players can climb: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Ruby, Emerald, Diamond, and Legend. Except for Legend, each rank has 10 levels to reach in order to advance to the next rank. Exclusive rewards will also be available in Ranked Play.
A new program to support creators
With the start of Season 1, players can support a creator of their choice. The XDefiant Creator Code Initiative allows players to give a creator a commission when they make in-game purchases. To participate, go to the in-game shop and click on the “Support Creator” button and select the creator you want to support from the menu.
The creator selected here will be linked to the player’s account for the next 14 days or as soon as the choice is changed. Every time this player buys an item in the shop with XCoins, the selected creator will receive a commission for this purchase. The program does not require any additional obligations from the players. It allows them to support their favorite creators for their work. In German-speaking countries, the creators Stylerz and Jericho are currently part of this program.
