Sega NFT trademark was registered in Japan

The concept NFT It’s something we’ve been hearing a lot lately, some sort of exclusive digital product that gets paid for and becomes your property, something similar to art but in digital.

The NFT craze is even reaching video games, where gamers can purchase exclusive merchandise.

These non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are something that Sega has been researching to see how to introduce them into their games and it looks like they are close to achieving that and for that they have registered the Sega NFT trademark in Japan.

For now Sega has not commented. in this regard, although there is evidence that Sega has registered said trademark with the Japanese Patent Office, the process of which was launched at the end of December 2021.

What is clear is that the video game sector will also undergo other changes in the coming years and it seems that NFTs are going to be part of this change, which we hope will not harm this powerful industry.

Do you think this technology (NFT) makes sense in the video game industry?
