A former employee believes the Call of Duty series is in dire need of a revitalization.
Robert Bowling, former creative strategist at Call of Duty studio Infinity Ward from 2006-2012, has commented on the future of the Call of Duty series. In a posting on Twitter, Bowling said the Call of Duty franchise needs to be rebuilt.
“It’s time to build from scratch. We need more than iteration, we need revitalization.
Focus on core gameplay again, not content gateways.
We used to treat our players like a community rather than consumers. We included them in the group for card feedback and not for market feedback. “
It’s time to build from the tunnels up.
