But even with all of this, Deriviers had to create music that made a difficult balance:
“We worked with various established musicians from the south, but we were never ready to do a cat – it would have been fake because I wasn't from there, you know? It was not the goal. The goal was to be inspired and to transform music into something else. Yes, of course there are influences from country, Bluegrass, jazz. [musicians] – One of them plays blues, one of them land – and they played the songs and they said: 'Oh, I wouldn't do that, but that's super interesting!'
“They did what they were used to, but with the turn that I would do. I thought they would be a bit lost, but it was completely the opposite. You hugged it so much. For me, this is the success in this production that works with these people, get their real, authentic atmosphere from the south, and [bringing them] In the world of coercion, the world of this music. “
The result is a soundtrack that Deriviere and Fox believes that it represents the south, but does not simply copy its homework – this was a real cooperation with the real musicians from the region:
“Hopefully you can feel when you hear the soundtrack or the songs that there are People There, “says Derivieren.” It feels like they are there, and they want to provoke emotions, move, tell you, tell the story into this world. “
It is an idea that the idea gives the idea additional weight South of midnight Singing with you – it is not only the game itself, but also the many, many people who have made this music.
