My co-producer Florian and I started working ScourgeBringer Two years ago (or 100 weeks and 567 pizzas ago, to be clear) and I can't wait to finally get it in the hands of Xbox Game Pass for PC players!
ScourgeBringer is a fast-paced, free-flowing platform that aims to revolutionize the emergence of a complex fluid control platform, online combat, and pixel-based animations. It also got a punchy soundtrack from Joonas Turner who helped with music from some of our favorite indie games like Down, Broforce, again You do.
Set in a post-apocalyptic world where strange business has destroyed all humanity, ScourgeBringer puts you in the shoes of the most deadly war in his family: Kyhra. Help him explore the unknown and pave the way with ancient machines that guard the ancient seal, and possibly rescue mankind.
There is no turning back, as the game structure follows a combination of pre-built challenge chambers, in contrast Isaac's compilation. You can also expect a high level of power, a store to upgrade your skills, the wrong bosses and three different game worlds to explore ( and more to come!).
Doing ScourgeBringer, we took inspiration from our favorite indie action games and mixed reviews and feedback from the community on various alpha tests Then we continued to expand over the past two years to do something unique that we're really proud of. And this is just the beginning!
The current version of the Xbox Game Preview (full release is coming later this year) will provide all the main mechanics of the game and about half of the final game content, but we still have many more surprises to come.
