Registered players and those who pre-ordered the Founder’s Edition can plunge into the battles of the gods of SMITE 2 during the alpha test weekend.
Titan Forge Games has opened the SMITE 2 servers for the first Alpha Weekend event. The first select players who have signed up for the alpha test, as well as all buyers of the Founder’s Edition, will be able to enter the divine battlefields until May 5th.
There will be 14 playable deities during the first Alpha weekend: Anhor, Anubis, Athena, Bacchus, Bellona, Cernunnos, Chaac, Fenrir, Kukulkan, Loki, Odin, Neith, Ymir and Zeus.
With each upcoming Alpha weekend, Titan Forge Games will introduce more deities to the game and improve and refine it based on the feedback the community can provide via the official Discord server and social media.
To prepare players for battle, Titan Forge Games has put together some training resources, including the best tips for tackling the revamped Conquest mode, an overview of what to expect in the alpha, and a complete recording of a SMITE 2 Conquest match.
die Sticky notes and the blog post about the Alpha testing expectations on the official website also provide further insights into this game test.
Alpha weekend events will take place every month until SMITE 2 reaches its 24/7 closed beta later this summer. Those who don’t receive an invite immediately shouldn’t worry, as Titan Forge will be sending out regular invites throughout the testing phases.
Players can sign up to participate in the playtest via the SMITE 2 Steam page or register their interest in playing on other platforms on the official website. For guaranteed access to closed testing, Founder’s Edition packs can be purchased on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox and the Epic Games Store.
