Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann was misquoted by SONY on the subject of AI revolution in video games.
Neil Druckmann of Naughty Dogs spoke about AI technology at SONY’s Creative Entertainment Vision. He also said that AI will revolutionize video game development.
But he apparently didn’t say it quite like that. Druckmann wrote on his X-Account that some of his “rambling answers” were taken out of context during editing.
Druckmann wrote: “Unfortunately, in editing my rambling answers in my recent interview with SONY, some of my words, context and intentions got lost. Well, here is the full, long, rambling answer to the last question about our future game.”
To provide more clarity, he published the unabridged question and answer. For example, the statement that he does not believe “games have to be like movies or… TV shows” was missing.
