The Xbox Series X | S are fantastic consoles. However, like all hardware, they have their small flaws that sometimes annoy gamers. One of them is undoubtedly the way Microsoft manages bandwidth during a download. In fact, this is mostly associated with the title you are playing, even if it is a solo game, so it will limit the download speed. However, it appears that the company is currently testing several solutions, including the Suspend My Game feature.
It is indeed on the side of insiders that Microsoft made this new option available. This function is available on the download screen and has the form of a new button that can be operated from the controller. This is also preceded by an information message for users. When a game is running, pausing it will improve gameplay and reduce download times. Here’s a shot of this novelty that Tom Warren shared on Twitter.
We agree that this sounds like a good old patch. When the game is not in use or not using online features, the user interface should recognize this and allow high-speed downloading. However, while waiting for a more practical solution to be found, it will undoubtedly save more than one player’s time!
Previously, this workaround was used through the Quit Game option available in the Xbox manual. From now on it will be displayed for everyone to see. Did you know about it?
