A sparring arena and private lobbies in Operations mode are just two things included in the latest update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.

Saber Interactive has rolled out the latest update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. It not only brings improvements, but also new features.

The developer has added private lobbies in the operations mode. Your battleship has also been given a sparring arena, which is available in the “Operation” or “Eternal War” mode. From there, you can equip yourself with weapons and grenades, similar to PvP, before heading into the next battle.

Update 3.0 – Patch Notes

New features

  • The Hub Sparring Arenaa new special arena on the battleship, available in Operations and Eternal War Game modes, where players can compete in friendly PvP against players in their squad.

  • Private mode for operating mode This gives players the opportunity to play operations alone with bots or together with a friend without being matched with random players during the mission.

Gameplay and balancing optimizations

  • The marking tool has been updated:
    – Improved responsiveness and comfort of Social Wheel control with a mouse
    – Disabled unnecessary objects that do not require highlighting and therefore worked poorly
    – Several minor bug fixes
  • Power Fist: The damage of fully charged attacks has been significantly increased.
  • Heavy plasma: Base ammo increased by 5. Explosion damage radius increased. Overheat per shot drastically reduced from 50 to 30 for charged shots and from 20 to 15 for basic shots. Base damage slightly increased by 10%.
  • With Stims Restoration of disputed health in addition to actual healing
  • Grenade launcher Ammunition can now only be refilled with the ammunition boxes and not from the infinite ammunition supply

campaign

Difficulty:

  • The aggressiveness of enemies in Veteran mode of the campaign has been reduced for a better single player experience.
  • Player health in Veteran Campaign mode will be slightly reduced to compensate for AI aggressiveness and armor management updates.

Bots:

  • Various inhibiting restrictions have been removed so that bots can be more helpful and effective without breaking the game for the player.
  • Bots now help target Zoanthropes when the player attacks them.
  • To reduce the inconvenience, restrictions on bots taking out enemies instead of leaving them to the player have been greatly relaxed.
  • Bots are now allowed to help with Gargoyle objectives
    – Fixed various bugs related to stuck bots
    – Fixed a bug where bots could run out of ammo for weapons without a magazine

Operating mode

  • Optimized AI Director and spawn rules for Chaos enemies in Operations mode:
    – Maximum number of shielded Tzaangors present in the arena at the same time reduced from 10 to 4.
    – Maximum number of simultaneous Cultist Snipers in the Arena reduced from 10 to 3
    – Maximum number of Tzaangors present in the arena at the same time reduced from 30 to 20
    – Maximum number of simultaneous Rubric Marines with Boltguns in the Arena reduced from 8 to 5
    – Maximum number of Rubric Marines with Warpflamers simultaneously in the arena reduced from 4 to 3
  • Perfect Parry has been updated, now restores armor for killing Minoris, not just for countering their special attacks
  • Regarding Block and fencing weapons, a bug was fixed in the perfect parry window for fencing weapons. There is now a window with 20 frames of perfect parry and 10 frames of vulnerability at the end of the animation, instead of 30 frames of perfect parry for the entire animation as originally intended.
  • Attack class: Base damage from ground pounds increased by 30%
  • Armor boost Drops from destructible crates are now rarer (cooldown increased from 30 seconds to 60 seconds)

PVP

  • Improved player spawn system. It should make killing spawns more difficult
  • Vanguard’s grappling hook launcher reworked in PVP. Instead of completely stunning the opponent, it now staggers them and slows them down drastically.

AI

  • The ability to stun enemies with ranged attacks has been reduced for all AI characters.
  • The accuracy of ranged enemies is reduced when attacking from off-screen, and the accuracy of ranged enemies is reduced when attacking players in melee.

    – Flashborer spray attack damage reduced from 0.3 to 0.1
  • Tyranid Warrior with Devourer: Projectile damage reduced from 0.9 to 0.6 per projectile
  • Marine section with Warpflamer:
    Flame damage symbol reduced from 9 to 6
    – Flame burst damage reduced from 6 to 4 per shot
    – Flamethrower damage reduced from 6 to 4 per projectile. Health reduced by 10%.
  • Marine with Bolter category:
    Spray attack damage reduced from 1.5 to 1
    – Damage from precise shot attack (with red indicator) reduced from 4 to 2 per projectile
    – Reduced frequency of teleports used to separate players to make them less of a nuisance in combat. Health reduced by 10%.
  • Tzaangor with shield: HP greatly reduced
  • Butcher:
    Rage phase updated, Carnifex becomes faster and more aggressive
    – Reduced frequency of ridicule
    – Fixed a bug where his Cone of Thorns attack was not firing projectiles.
  • Swarm Tyrant:
    Health slightly increased.
    – Resistance to explosives and melta weapons increased by 20%.

Adjustment

  • Fixed symbol color for the colours Administratum Grey, Auric Armour Gold and Celestra Grey
  • Fixed several issues with incorrect standard colors in some chapters (e.g. Iron Warriors)
  • Vanguard Relic – right leg guard now requires 29 wins instead of 36

  • Fixed several issues that prevented players from progressing in some levels.

  • The trials can now be accessed via Hypnomat in the Armory.

General bug fixes

  • Fixed a bug where changing loadouts during an operation would restore your health
  • Improved jump module ability responsiveness
  • Fixed several issues in Trials
  • Fixed a bug where in some rare cases the controls would stop working after executing a finisher
  • Fixed a bug where the player would not receive armor data from Hellbrute who emerged from the Chaos Portal.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the Vanguard perk Adrenaline Rush to display 1% instead of the actual 10% in the description.
  • Fixed announcer spam in Eternal War mode
  • Fixed several ways to duplicate ammo in Operations mode.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the grappling hook launcher to break when overlaid by small geometry.
  • Fixed a bug where the EMPEROR’S VENGEANCE tactical perk did not work with Plasma Incininator.
